ABOUT NEWBURY DRAMATIC SOCIETY

Newbury Dramatic Society is the oldest established amateur theatre group in the Newbury area. Our productions range from the classics to modern pieces and original plays written by our own members.

In 2019, we staged three productions - an original play by NDS member Nick Card, 'Acting', the classic black comedy 'Arsenic and Old Lace' to a sell-out crowd at The Watermill Theatre, and in the winter 'Dick Whittington: The Mini Pantomime' by chairman Mike Brook. Currently we are rehearsing a summer pantomime and have plans for several performances thereafter.

We have performed at The Watermill Theatre on many occasions and have a strong working partnership with Greenham Arts. Our membership is dynamic and diverse and we are always keen to recruit new members. There are many benefits to being a member of NDS - in addition to the opportunity to be in several productions each year and the chance to meet fellow actors or crew members, we have regular social events such as meals and theatre trips.

Thank you for visiting our website, which is intended for use by customers, supporters, members and prospective members.
